FAQ
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, appointments are required for any grooming services and some of our groomers book weeks ahead. We recommend booking ahead to ensure you get the date, time, and groomer you want. Walk-In services are not guaranteed.
How much do you charge?
Our pricing varies on a number of factors, which include: breed, coat type, coat condition, age, size, and overall temperament. While you can contact us for a general quote, we won’t be able to provide a tailored quote until one of our grooming staff meets and assess your dog.
How long does grooming take?
Duration of appointment can vary. Typically a session can run anywhere from 2 – 5 hours, depending on your dogs size, coat type, coat condition, and overall temperament.
Can I stay and watch?
We recommend owners to not be present during the grooming process. Dogs typically behave better when their parents are not around and having owners present may increase any anxiety or stress.
Can I request a specific haircut?
Of course you can! But please be aware that your dog may not have the same coat type as another dogs, so having realistic expectations are important. Also, any special breed specific cuts (ie. Poodles) may incur an extra cost based on the work performed.
How often should I wash or groom my dog?
Bathing your dog regularly is important and we recommend at least 4 – 6 weeks between baths (whether at home or at the groomers). Unless for emergencies (your dog likes to roll around in the mud or play with skunks) washing your dog more frequently may actually remove natural oils that are used to maintain skin and coat health, leading to dry skin, itching, and future skin issues.
