FAQ
What is the daily routine like for boarded dogs?
They follow the same structured routine as our Daycare guests. See schedule here (link to schedule on Daycare page). Naturally, the feeding schedule is custom for each Boarding guest.Yes, but we recommend a trial daycare session before boarding to ensure comfort.
Are dogs kept in kennels or is it cage-free?
We are completely cage-free. Homestyle stays are where its at. The guests have beds, blankets and pillows to cozy up with.
Are dogs supervised 24/7, including overnight?
Our guests are supervised 24/7 including overnight.
How are dogs grouped for play—by size, temperament, or energy level?
Yes we have several areas at our disposal to group the guests in to size and energy levels. Calmer and older guests would be separate from the energetic younger pups. Size definitely plays a factor, a playful Great Dane might unintentionally overwhelm a tiny Yorkie, even with the best intentions.
What vaccinations are required before boarding?
Yes, our guests need to be vaccinated for Rabies and DHLPP.
What happens if my dog gets sick or injured during their stay?
Our staff is trained in assessing our guest’s health and mending minor injuries. If necessary we will get in to contact with the owners and our guest’s veterinarian.
How often are the facilities cleaned and sanitized?
We are obsessed with cleanliness. Bowel movements do happen indoors on occasion, and are cleaned up and sanitized immediately by our attentive staff. Cleaning and sanitizing is a multiple times a day routine for us.
Is there a temperament test or trial day before boarding?
Yes there is a mandatory meet & greet that needs to be done in order to take a behavioural assessment.
Can you accommodate dogs with anxiety or special needs?
We have areas and staff to deal with shy or anxious guests. Let us know what your needs are and we can work out a plan to accommodate the pup.
What happens if my dog doesn’t get along with others?
There are various factors why your dog may not ‘get along’ with others. It could be a social ignorance, or a fear due to long ago healed injuries, lack of exposure to pack mentality, etc. We have ‘rehabilitated’ and reintegrated many a guest and made them a friend in the pack.
Can I tour the facility before booking?
Yes ofcourse. You will get a tour when you come in for the meet & greet.
What are the drop-off and pick-up hours?
Our drop off and pick ups are any time between 7am and 7pm
Are there extra charges for late pick-ups or holiday stays?
There is a 15 min grace window. After the grace window there is a $20 charge plus $1 for every minute late.
Can I get updates or photos during my dog’s stay?
We send out daily report cards of our guests which include our observations of their stay. We will let you know of their temperament, their best friends and include photos of videos on a daily basis.
